The 19-year old scored his first goal and it was a memorable one as it became the fastest goal scored in Europe at the weekend.
The style of the goal will also be remembered as being unorthodox.
The former 36 Lions player had already scored in the Europa League but
his first goal meant all the difference between Standard maintaining
their unbeaten start to the season and getting a point from a strong
Genk side, who pushed them all the way.
For helping Standard secure their third win in a row, the accolade is
deeply merited. Ezekiel scored 16 goals last season and will be hoping
to do better in the new season. He has contributed one assist and one
goal in his last two games
