Barcelona coach Gerardo Martino has received a boost after Cesc Fabregas returned to training ahead of Sunday's Liga opener against Levante.
The former Arsenal man, 26, picked up an ankle problem during the Catalan's Asian trip and was consequently forced to pull out of the Spain squad for Wednesday's friendly against Ecuador.
Nevertheless, Fabregas is expected to be match fit in time for this weekend's match with Granotes after Barcelona confirmed on their official website that he has resumed regular training action.
Meanwhile, Lionel Messi was also present at Barcelona's training ground on Thursday, doing recovery work with physio Juanjo Brau.
Messi has returned from Rome, where he was preparing for Argentina's international friendly against Italy, to continue working on his recovery from a quadriceps injury
